Overall, i like and appreciate our English class, I may not show it much by not coming all the time but i have my own battles that i need to fight, reguardless i do enjoy this class very much. The people can be a bit annoying or chattery at times but for the most part I can put up with everyone.Mr.Rendine your a great teacher you know how to talk us through everything and make good presentations for us to understand what we will be doing next in this class. This class is a class i know i can sit down and do my work and get help if needed which is why i enjoy this class more than most. This may be a class that most take for granted because it comes to easier as some but it can help give us plenty of practice for our vocab and papers we have to do.So to me its more of an improvement class.

To me this year in English has been a lot of fun. We have read many interesting books such as Othello and Of Mice and Men. I have learned to read a book and take it and put it into a real life situation. I have also learned more about my grammar and also how to read better. Also I have learned to just have fun in what I am doing and then it is a lot easier to learn what I am trying to learn. Also I have enjoyed working in groups and doing the group projects. Mr. Rendine has made English a very easy environment to learn in and he has made it a whole lot of fun.

English this year has been very interesting. Some of the books that we read are very good while others are leave something to be desired. Out of the books that we read I found that most of them end in a tragedy for instance Othello ends with him killing himself. The Mice of Men ends with George killing Lennie; it seems that all these books seem to try and depress students. Although the books we read in class are somewhat depressing I think they also teach good morals and also allows us to see the way life was in different periods of time.In English this year I have worked well with some people because they contribute to the groups work and I have also worked with people who do nothing g but just sit there. It varies in this class. The best assignment we did in the class overall would have to be for me the play because it allowed us to express our creativity. Through working in groups it prepares us for what college and life will be like

English this year overall has been a pretty good experience for me. Last year I really didn’t enjoy English a whole lot because I didn’t like my teacher and we always got quizzes and tests like every week. I think one of the best parts about English this year for me is not having as many quizzes or tests. I like how we focus on books and projects rather than getting a vocabulary quiz every week. I also really enjoyed acting out the scenes from Othello and then watching them. I am also getting a higher grade in English than I was last year so I am happy about that. I also liked the books that we read and are currently reading. When the whole class reads a book together, it helps me understand it more than when I try and read on my own. My favorite book so far this year has been Othello because I enjoy Shakespeare and all of his tragedies. So overall, I have had a very good English class this year.

My thoughts about English this year are very good. It is one of my favorite classes that I look forward to going to at sixth period. Mr. Rendine you are a great teacher and you make our class a lot of fun! I don’t really like reading it bores me so I didn’t enjoy those books or plays but it is what you have to do so it’s okay. An experience that stood out for me was when we did vocabulary and the games and stuff we would play to review because it really helped me out on the test. Another experience I like is how we read out loud instead of at home. I like that because I know when I have to read at home I don’t do it and do poorly when we go over it. My last thing is English has been fun this year =]

English 2 this year has been good because the class is fun and no one is annoying or mean to people which makes the class a lot better. The type of material that we have been learning has been kind of boring like the plays because they just don't appeal to me. The grammar has been so so but we did not really do much of the grammar this year. My feelings that have resulted from English 2 are happy because this class is fun and has its funny moments and i think that the journals are a good idea because you could just write whatever you felt like writing in the freewrites.

nadirah, Well my experience in English 2 this year was fun and surprising I though the only thing we were going to do was write papers all the time some of the books that we read this year was enjoyable even though some was not I enjoyed the research paper we had to do on the mice and men I learned a lot about the great depression and how certain type of people lived in the past it help me to reflect on my own experience and future I also like that we watch movies after we read the book it help me to see the charters visually it help me understand the characters more and I think Mr. Rendine Is a incredible teacher hes not like all the other teachers who pressure me he’s lad back and cool and I loved and learned a lot from this school year and hopefully next I will learn more bye bye 10grade hello 11th!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThis year in English was the best I’ve had so far. Of course as usual the books could've been different, but most of them were interesting and I found myself thinking about them. Othello, and Of Mice and Men were very good books and I enjoyed everything that went along with them like our re-enactment of the Othello scenes. Every way that was come up with for us to learn was easy to understand yet challenging enough to help us learn what the topic was. From vocabulary to comparing Of Mice and Men situations to our current recession in our research paper, I always found myself at one point having fun and that's a great way to learn. Everything that was done this year was equally fun and challenging which I believe every class should be. Mr. Rendine, you are an awesome teacher and definitely in the top two if not the best I’ve ever had. So, I will definitely miss this year's English as because it's a prime example of how I’d like a class to be.

My thoughts on English are positive I enjoy it and the lessons even know I have not been in class for the past 6 weeks or whatever it has been. My favorite part of English is when we read Othello because I knew the story. I saw the movie. It really relates to things that happen now days. People are jealous and try to ruin your relationship if everything is perfect and going well because they are mad they can’t be like that with someone. What I call haters but it’s my favorite book the only problem is it is so long but other than that it’s really good. I can’t wait until I go back to school so I can get back to what I was doing in my classes. I feel without English I would not be able to speak well and I would not know anything about grammar and I'm instead in that.

ReplyDeleteMy thought on this year was that it was a fun year.
I met people who we cool, and well people that I just wanted to live without knowing. But life can’t be the way, you want it. The only thing, I didn’t like was the term paper, college will be full of them, so I should get used to them. This year was really fun, we read books that were good and bad. The books I liked this year were Othello, Crucible, and Of Mice and Men. Of mice and Men was my favorite out of the all the books, I just think the ending is sad, but it was a good ending. The book is didn’t like has to be Catcher in the Rye…..I hate Holden Caulfield…he’s a confused little teen, but the ending was good, Holden ends up in an Asylum (so great!). This year was good, I like a lot of things and didn’t like a lot of things.
But question, why are we reading so many Tragedies, I mean, if someone doesn’t ‘t die it’s something else. “In this book, someone gets shot. Hey, this one doesn’t have a death, oh, wait but some one gets sent to an Asylum…..” Very weird, how we don’t read books with a lot of Cursing but we read books about people’s misfortunes, and their tragic deaths
